It looks getting fired as the head coach of Miami Dolphins is having a domino effect on the life of Joe Philbin and his wife, Diane. The couple has listed their Florida-based mansion for sale.

Located in an exclusive gated community, this Mediterranean style mansion is about six miles from the Dolphins’ training complex in Davie. The listed price of the estate is $2.5 million.

Philbin’s home is spread over an area of 7,850 square feet and has a lot of security. For one, it is located inside a secure gated community. Then there is a second security gate just outside the courtyard. But that is not all. This huge mansion is expansive and can easily accommodate a large family and a few guests. It contains six bedrooms and seven full bathrooms. It also has a library and media room.

Expensive Hobbies

Just like homes of the rich and famous, this one too has its own game room, a wine room to stack those expensive bottles of wine and champagne and a pool that will transport you to a relaxing and luxurious resort!

Not a Bad View!

The mansion also has high-end finishing, such as complete marble flooring on the first level and hardwood flooring in the bedrooms. The bedrooms, located on the second level, have en-suite bathrooms and their own private balcony. Sitting on the balcony, you can get a panoramic view of the lush landscaped garden.

There is a separate guest suite which has a sitting room, kitchenette, and full bathroom. The main house and the guest suite come with customized cabinets, high-end appliances, and stunning granite accents.

The grounds, spread over an area of 0.8 acres, are extremely well-maintained and landscaped. The swimming pool also has a spa and lounging area, making it perfect for swimming pool parties and barbecues. There is also a completely equipped outdoor kitchen and a relaxing patio that makes it fun to host outdoor events for family and friends.

The game room is large enough to house a billiard table and some more. Plus there is a garage to safely park your expensive cars.

Selling a Home in a Recession

Philbin’s mansion was constructed in 2012, the same year when he took up the coaching position for the Dolphins. He purchased it, then for $1.78 million, according to property records. So, he will be making a profit if Philbin manages to sell the home for the listed price. However, the property manager overseeing the listing claims that Philbin is in no hurry to find a buyer and is willing to wait until he gets the price he is seeking.

Well, we will see what he says about that if the home has not sold in 6 months! Perhaps a wealthy investor will come through for Philbin.

A Super Bowl Winner

Joe Philbin and the Miami Dolphins started off the season well and hoped to make it to the playoffs. However, on Oct. 4th, the Dolphins had a disappointing game against their arch rivals New York Jets. They lost the game in London, prompting the Dolphins’ management to give Philbin his marching orders. Before taking up the position of head coach of the Dolphins, Philbin was the offensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers for 4 years. He was part of the winning team in 2010 season when the Packers won the Super Bowl with the great Aaron Rogers as the quarterback.
