Travelzoo, a global Internet media company that helps users find travel deals, released the results of a recent poll, which showed the friendliest cities all over the world.
Travelzoo surveyed more than 6,000 Americans, who voted that Honolulu was the friendliest U.S. city, while Florida came in first for U.S. states. Mexico ranked as No. 1 for the friendliest Latin American country. In Europe, Amsterdam was voted the friendliest city and Italy voted the friendliest European country.
The biggest friendly gesture Americans experienced while traveling (30 percent of polled people) was receiving directions when they were lost — right behind that was receiving dining and entertainment recommendations.
